GRANT FAQ
Please note: Pursuit of Rainbows receives many applications each cycle, but due to limited funding, not all eligible applicants will receive a grant. Every application is reviewed with care and confidentiality by our selection committee.
Who is eligible to apply for the Pursuit of Rainbows Fertility Grant?

Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal residents between the ages of 21 and 39, receiving treatment at an accredited reproductive clinic, and have a qualifying infertility diagnosis. They must also have a combined gross income under $200,000 and no insurance coverage for infertility treatment.
What does the grant cover?
The grant may cover the initial consultation, lab work, ultrasounds, IUI procedures, physician fees for egg retrieval and one embryo transfer, IVF education, and lab fees for fertilization. When is the deadline to apply, and can I submit late?
Applications must be submitted by the listed deadline. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. If any documents are missing, you will be notified and have 24 hours to submit them.
Can I apply again if I wasn’t selected previously?
Yes, if you were not awarded a grant in a past cycle, you are welcome to reapply. However, past grant recipients are not eligible to apply again.
Can the grant be used for treatment I’ve already started or paid for?
No. The grant may only be used for upcoming treatment that begins after the grant is awarded. It cannot be applied to treatment already started or completed. What happens if my treatment is delayed or canceled?Treatment must begin within 6 months of receiving the grant. If it is significantly delayed or canceled, the grant may be forfeited. Please notify us of any major changes to your timeline.
Will I receive the grant money directly?
No. Grant funds are paid directly to your clinic. Applicants will not receive any funds personally. If the cost of treatment ends up being lower than expected, the unused funds will be returned to Pursuit of Rainbows.
What is the selection process like?
Once the deadline passes, applications are reviewed for eligibility. A confidential selection committee then evaluates qualified submissions based on financial need, personal story, treatment type, and overall fit. While we wish we could fund everyone, only a limited number of grants are awarded each cycle. Selected applicants are contacted first, and all others are notified once decisions are final.
Do I need to include my full medical or fertility history?
No. Please only submit the documents outlined in the application checklist. Extra documents like detailed medical records or cost breakdowns from your clinic will not be reviewed or returned.
How much financial assistance does the grant provide?
Grant amounts vary depending on available funds and applicant needs. While some or most of your treatment may be covered, it is not guaranteed to cover all costs. Applicants should be prepared to contribute financially and explore other funding options.
Are there media or publicity requirements if I’m selected?

Yes. As a grant recipient, you agree to share a photo and short bio for our website and social media. If a pregnancy or birth occurs, we will also share updates at appropriate milestones. All posts will be consistent with prior Pursuit of Rainbows recipient announcements.
